Current and future courses:
, M.Sc. program, January-April 2005, Code: GRA2411. Introductory course in Strategic Management for first-year Master students, intended for those who have not had business strategy as an undergraduate course.
- IT Management, MBA program, Fall semester (September-October) 2005, Code: GRA8254. Case-based course on management of IT, including role of IT in organization and for strategy, role of the CIO, budget decisions, role of IT in society.
- Electronic Strategic Business Development, MBA Program, January-April 2005, Code: GRA8829. Case-oriented course on eBusiness. The course has been around in various incarnations since 1997, trying to teach students how to compete with and in the world of networked technology. Lots of guest lecturers and attempts at innovative use of IT in the classroom. For three years the course was taught jointly with professor Bill Schiano at Bentley College, using videoconferencing in purpose-built classrooms. This use of technology gives the students experience in practical international cooperation and a sense of realism.
- Strategic Technology and Technology Strategy, M.Sc. program/Siv.øk Strategy Major, January-April 2005, Code: GRA6821. Reading- and case-based course on technology evolution, technology strategy and strategic innovation management.
- Advanced Technology Strategy, M.Sc. program/Siv.øk Strategy Major, September-October 2005, Code: GRA6825. Advanced and applied course on technology evolution, technology strategy and strategic innovation management, meant as a more research-oriented seminar on competitive technology, management of high-tech companies, and advances in technology-oriented strategic management research.
- Basics of Strategic Management
Electronic Strategic Business Development, Master of Management program, 2003/2004. Executive education course on competing with technology. Offered in cooperation with Høgskolen i Finnmark from October 2003 - November 2004. Taught in modules, one in Dublin. IT Management, Executive MBA program, 2005-2006. Code GRA7000. Case-based course on management of IT. Including role of IT in organization and for strategy, role of the CIO, budget decisions, role of IT in society. Taught in modules, one in London.
